Weize 12V 100AH Deep Cycle AGM battery
These are the batteries we use in our rig. We have 3 of them in parallel to give us 300 amps of 12volts. This is more than enough amperage for us. Here’s a link to a video of my install.
Garmin RV 780 GPS Navigator with Traffic
This is the GPS we use in our rig. It saved our rig twice by avoiding a low R.R underpass and an insubstantial bridge. It provides road warnings to keep us aware of steep grades, sharp curves. We pair our smartphone to gain access to hands-free calling. It has voice-activated navigation for convenience. Includes a directory of RV parks and services plus content from Ultimate Public Campgrounds, KOA, overlander, TripAdvisor, Foursquare and more. We love it.
Rec-Pro Charles Collection, 67″ Double Recliner RV Sofa, Cloth (Oatmeal)
We replaced our jackknife sofa with this beauty. Very easy to install in our rig. It comes in 3 pieces and fits easily through the rigs door. Super comfortable. We love it. Click here to see photos of our install.
12v Tank Heat Pads
Our newest rig (2017 Thor ACE 29.4) did not have heated tanks. So, we installed these pads so we can camp in the winter. Our last rig had heated compartments, so the tanks were ONLY heated if we ran our furnace. These pads use 12v, so we can run them on electric , without using our propane.
Propane Brass Tee Adapter Kit
We were tired of using those small disposable screw on tanks. So I installed this and we now run our Weber grill off of our onboard propane tank.
Weber Q2200 Propane Grill
And this is the grill we use while RVing. We love the quality of a Weber Grill, and this is a great portable grill. Folds up and stores in the basement of of our rig. 4 years old and still works like a champ.
SoftStart Air-conditioner capacitor to run our A/C off of the inverter
With our solar and inverter we could run everything in the rig except for our air conditioner. Until we installed this !! It took me 45 minutes to install it and I am no mechanic. I know people who installed this so they could run 2 A/Cs on 30 amp hookup.
Spacesaver Premium Vacuum Storage Bags (1 Small, 1 Medium, 1 Large, 1 Jumbo). 80% More Storage! Hand-Pump for Travel! Double-Zip Seal and Triple Seal Turbo-Valve for Max Space Saving!
We bought this because we travel with a down comforter and were tired of it taking up so much room. Now with this bag we store it under the bed and takes up 1/10th of the space.
Titan 11477 Ratcheting Wire Terminal Crimper Tool for Insulated Terminals
My friend Scott turned me onto this phenomenal tool. I was using a cheap crimper while helping him with his rig when he pulled this out of tool bag. I fell in love with it and bought one immediately. The crimp is the best I’ve ever seen or used.
Battery Starter for Car, TOPVISION 2200A Peak 20800mAh Portable Car Power Pack with USB Quick Charge 3.0 (Up to 7.0L Gas or 6.5L Diesel Engine), 12V Portable Battery Booster
We had bought a really big jump starter when we killed the toads battery. Then Trish’s son gave us this one. WOW ! It is small (fits in the jeeps glove box) yet we jump started a F250 Super-Duty without any hesitation. And it holds a full charge for a long time !!
Room-Dividers-Now Premium Ceiling Track Room Divider Kit, 8ft Tall x 6ft – 9ft Wide (Dusty Gold)
We bought this and mounted it to the ceiling behind the driver/passenger seats for privacy and temperature control. It keeps the cockpit warmer/cooler while driving and keeps the heat or A/C in the coach area while parked. We love how it makes our motorhome feel like a small apartment. Click here for my installation video.
GAMPRO 12V 150db Air Horn, 18 Inches Chrome Zinc Single Trumpet Truck Air Horn with Compressor for Any 12V Vehicles Trucks Lorrys Trains Boats Cars (Black)
The stock horn on our Ford chassis was basically a car horn just quieter. A few times when we needed to alert driver to us our horn failed to get their attention. This horn does the job wonderfully. It took just over a half hour for me to install it. Here’s a link to the horn in our rig: Our new horn
zero-G Lightweight, Ultra Flexible, Durable, Kink-Free Garden Hose, 5/8-Inch by 50-Feet
We wanted a 50′ hose and this one weighs half as much, does not kink and takes up half the space as the white camco hose we were using !!! We had so many problems with hoses. Even if they said they were kink free, over time they would kink and then crack. The last time that happened we were camping near New Orleans and when we returned to the campground the manager came over and said he saw the leak so he turned off the city water connection to our rig. I had to go and buy a hose repair kit. Never more, go zero.
Progressive Industries Portable EMS Surge Protector EMS-PT30X
We bought this early on in our travels and love it. It has saved our rig numerous times, once when we were out west a lightening bolt struck somewhere along the power line and our power flickered. The lights came back on, I went outside and I saw the “error 5” light was on. Which meant “Voltage High (line 2 voltage above 132V)”. Then at a campground where there was a pedestal problem. Both times Progressive Industries sent us a free replacement. This surge protector paid for itself.
Victron Energy Battery Monitor, BMV-700
After trying a few battery monitors (for our coach batteries) we ultimately went with this one from Victron. We first tried a very inexpensive one which did what it was supposed to do but it didn’t do what I was hoping for. I wanted to know the percentage of battery life left AND how long our batteries would last while we were using them under a load. The Victron works perfectly! The next level up Victron offers bluetooth compatibility, which we chose not to get which helped save some money. While it is expensive the Victron showed me when we had an issue with our battery bank not being recharged. The inexpensive one from Baylite worked fine and only cost $15.00.
A Guide to the National Parks
We’ve visited more than a few National Parks in the U.S. since we started RVing. Such as Glacier, Yellowstone, Acadia, the Smokies and the Shenandoah’s to name some. We found it time consuming to research what we wanted to see in the park when we went into the visitor center. This book gives us the highlights of each park. It gives a brief history of each park, gives hiking trail information, where to go for great photographic places and other tips for making your visit efficient.
Thule Hullavator Pro Kayak Lift System
Wow what a back saver !! We had avoided kayaking numerous times because of the time and effort it took to get the kayak on and off the Jeep. Now I can mount the kayak onto the jeep in a few minutes by myself. Our tandem kayak weighs 75 lbs and is over 17 feet long. Here’s A picture of it holding our kayak on our Jeep.
Hollywood Racks SR1 Spare Tire Rack 2-Bike Spare Tire Mount Rack
We love taking our tandem bike with us where ever we go. Our carrier is now 5 years old and works perfectly. I was concerned about it supporting our heavy bike but no issues at all. Here’s pictures of our bike.
Bedlift Kit
We installed this bed lift assist rods in our motorhome. When we bought our new mattress with innersprings, accessing the storage area under the bed got more difficult. So, we bought this Bed lift Kit by Hatch lift Products. It includes all the components necessary to install hydraulic lift assists on RV beds. Bed lift Kits includes two high quality gas springs, mounting hardware, and installation instructions. Bed lift Kits are assembled in the USA.
Camco Cyclone Rotating Sewer Plumbing Vent
This rotating roof vent helps eliminate black tank odors from being pushed into the rig as we drive. We love this ! Every time we hit the road we would smell the black tank ! This works great, we no longer have that issue. And it was easy to install !!
Our Renogy Solar Package
This is similar to the solar package we bought. Getting the complete package made installing the solar in our rig so much easier. I am no electrician or mechanic, yet I installed this system by myself. Here’s a link to a video of our solar setup. If you prefer a discount to Renogy products visit Relaxrv.org/discounts
This is the Renogy 3000 watt Pure Sine Wave Inverter we use. It converts our rig’s 12v battery current to 110 volts and allows us to run our microwave, space heater or electric tea kettle, etc. It helps us save money by reducing the need to run the generator. If you prefer a discount to Renogy products visit Relaxrv.org/discounts
Solar Panel Tilts
Adjustable Solar Panel Mount Mounting Brackets. The sun is typically low in the sky in the winter (like in Quartzsite Az). Use these to “point” the panels towards the sun.
Travel Tote Bag for Instant Pot
To protect your “Instant Pot” or Slow Cookers while traveling in the RV. We used ours every day.
Rapid Egg Cooker
6 Egg Capacity Electric Egg Cooker for Hard Boiled, Poached, Scrambled or even Omelets with Auto Shut Off. Fast ! And saves your propane while plugged in at a campground.
Anker Portable Charger, 10,000mAh Battery Pack with High-Speed PowerIQ Charging Technology and USB-C (Input Only)
Great for boon-docking, we fully charge it at a campground, then use it to fully charge our electronics. It fully charged our smart phones or our Kindle 3-4 times.
Real Riedel Wine glasses and they are protected while on the road
We love these Riedel wine glasses. The case protects the wine glasses from breakage. The set comes with 2 glasses and the wooden case lined with padding.
Electronic controller protectant.
We used this on P.C. board for our leveling system because it kept shorting out when it rained. We also used it protect the wire connections between the rig and the toad.
Thirsty Rug
We use this rug at the entryway in our rig. It trapped a lot of moisture and MUD too !!! Saved us from making a mess throughout the rig.
Jack Pads
We use these to level our rig (remember, you shouldn’t lift your rigs tires off the ground when you are leveling it). In campgrounds, we found so many times the sites were so un-level we needed these under the tires. We also used them under our jack pads to prevent them from sinking in mud.
Water Filter
Don’t like the taste of campground water? Either do we. We love this filter, the spring loaded adapter alleviates the fresh water hose from kinking where it connects to our rig.
90 Degree hose connector
We use this adapter to prevent our water hose from kinking.
